The person behind Heart Space
Heart Space is the personal vision of Corey Tschudin, bringing together his lifelong connection to nature, his work with people and more than 20 years of teaching skateboarding.
Corey grew up in Switzerland spending much of his time outdoors and on a skateboard. Movement became more than a sport. It offered joy, freedom, confidence and a way to connect with young people and beginners.
His professional background in social work further shaped his interest in helping people experience greater wellbeing, connection and purpose.
Finding Costa Rica
Corey first travelled to Costa Rica in 2018 and was deeply affected by its natural abundance, outdoor lifestyle and pura vida spirit.
In 2021, he purchased the land that would become Heart Space.
The original dream was to create a peaceful and beautiful place where people could step away from the pressures of modern life, spend time in nature, eat fresh food, move and experience a simpler rhythm.
That dream is now becoming a real place.

Building step by step
Corey currently divides his time between Switzerland and Costa Rica. His work in Switzerland helps finance the continued development of the property, while friends and trusted people assist with caring for the land when he is away.
Heart Space is not the work of a large organisation or commercial developer. It is a personal project being built gradually, with attention to quality, cleanliness, safety and the wellbeing of future guests.
Corey knows that the complete vision cannot be realised alone. He is now looking for the right practical collaborators, supporters and potentially one long-term partner who can help build its next chapter.
