Heart Space is the personal vision of Corey Tschudin, bringing together his lifelong connection to nature, his work with people and more than 24 years of teaching skateboarding.
Corey grew up in Switzerland spending much of his time outdoors and on a skateboard. Movement became more than a sport. It offered joy, freedom, confidence and a way to connect with young people and beginners.
His professional background in social work further shaped his interest in helping people experience greater wellbeing, connection and purpose.
Corey first travelled to Costa Rica in 2018 and was deeply inspired by its natural abundance, outdoor lifestyle and *pura vida* spirit. In 2021, he purchased the land that would become Heart Space.
His vision was to create a peaceful place where people could step away from everyday pressures, reconnect with nature, enjoy fresh food and experience a simpler rhythm of life.
Heart Space brings together the values that have shaped Corey’s journey: respect for nature, conscious living, movement, skateboarding, human connection and Christian faith. His faith informs the project’s spirit of humility, service and care for the natural world.
Corey divides his time between Switzerland and Costa Rica, using his work in Switzerland to help finance the project. Heart Space is being developed gradually and with care.
He is now looking for practical collaborators, supporters and partner to help shape its next chapter.
Mary Luz
Born in Peru and based in Switzerland, I bring a rich multicultural perspective to everything I do. Working and helping people health wise is one of my passions. Having traveled to numerous countries, it was the raw nature, ocean, and healthy lifestyle of Costa Rica that truly captured my heart. Today, alongside my business partner and friend Corey, we are combining our vision to build an ecolodge. Our mission is to offer guests a truly delightful stay where they can enjoy paradise, while cleansing and revitalizing their bodies through healthy, mindful eating.
